What changes behind the wheel of your Audi A4 with a new turbo
On an Audi A4 fitted with the 2.0 TFSI engine, a turbo in good condition makes itself felt immediately: crisp throttle response from low revs, smooth and linear power delivery, and no whistling or smoke under acceleration. When the turbo starts to fail, the Audi A4 saloon or estate loses responsiveness, fuel consumption rises, and the engine warning light may come on. Fitting a new turbo restores the original driving feel on a model that is particularly sensitive to boost pressure.
Compatibility of the turbo with the Audi A4 2.0 TFSI
This new turbo is compatible with reference 9VA10 and fits the 2.0 TFSI engine in the Audi A4, associated with engine codes CNCB, CNCD, CYND and CYPA. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference printed on the label of your old turbo, as several variants of this petrol engine may have been fitted depending on the trim level and production period of the vehicle.

It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted to your Audi A4, so your vehicle is not left off the road during the process. Fitting and maintenance advice for the 2.0 TFSI
On the 2.0 TFSI engine, turbo failure is often caused by inadequate lubrication — poor-quality oil, missed oil changes, or a clogged air filter disrupting the intake. Before fitting the new turbo, check the condition of the oil pipes, ensure the circuit is clean, and rule out any air leaks. Prime the turbo with oil before the first start, then drive gently for the first few kilometres to protect the longevity of the part.
