This new turbo for the Fiat 500L is sold on an exchange basis: return of your old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your vehicle is not left off the road. This product carries a 12-month parts warranty, provided fitting is carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.
Tips for keeping your new turbo in good condition on the 500L
On the 500L's TwinAir engine, the majority of premature turbo failures stem from inadequate lubrication: poor-quality oil, missed oil changes, or a clogged oil filter. A dirty air filter or a cracked intercooler can also disrupt turbo operation and accelerate wear. Driving aggressively from a cold start is equally damaging to the turbine.
- Check the condition of the oil circuit and the cleanliness of the hoses before fitting
- Check the air intake and ensure there are no leaks in the intake circuit
- Prime the turbo with oil before starting the engine for the first time
- Allow the engine to warm up gently before putting it under any significant load
