This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so that the Ford Mondeo is not left off the road. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, provided fitting is carried out by a professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.

On these Duratorq engines, premature turbo failure is most commonly caused by a lubrication fault linked to incorrect oil, missed oil changes, or a clogged air filter disrupting the intake. Before fitting, it is essential to check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses connecting the turbo to the intercooler, and the cleanliness of the air intake. When starting up, priming the turbo with oil before the first start prevents the turbocharger from running dry.
