This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your vehicle is never left off the road. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, provided fitting is carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, up to 10 instalments.
Fitting advice for the OM 612 engine
On this diesel engine, premature turbo failure is most commonly caused by a lubrication fault – typically missed oil changes, incorrect oil grade, or a blocked oil filter. It is also advisable to check the air filter and the condition of the intercooler, as any air leak on the intake side accelerates compressor wear. Before installation, inspect the oil circuit, the intake hoses and the air intake, then prime the turbo with oil before the first start-up to ensure the bearings are immediately lubricated.
