This reconditioned 5-speed manual gearbox is designed for Chrysler PT Cruiser models fitted with the 2.2 CRD (engine code EDJ, engine capacity 2148 cm³), and is supplied under reference TCG. The reconditioning process involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of gears, synchros, bearings and seals, followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and a bench test prior to dispatch.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

This TCG gearbox is supplied on a deferred exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, so the garage is never left without a gearbox during fitting. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected once the reconditioned unit has been delivered and installed, keeping vehicle downtime to an absolute minimum. Return of the old unit is nonetheless required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
