This 6-speed manual gearbox is fully reconditioned to fit a Ford Tourneo with the 1.0 EcoBoost engine, 998 cm³ capacity, under engine codes SFCA and SFCB, reference JT7R-7002-AFJ. It is intended for vehicles whose manual transmission shows signs of advanced wear that cannot be resolved by simple adjustment.

Signs that your manual gearbox needs replacing

Several symptoms should alert the driver of a Tourneo fitted with the 1.0 EcoBoost: difficulty or grinding when changing gear, crunching on downshifts, vibrations felt through the gear lever, juddering when engaging a gear, or a persistent low rumble that worsens with engine speed. An oil leak from the casing or a neutral that is hard to find are also tell-tale signs of internal wear requiring gearbox replacement. This unit is equally suitable as a direct replacement for a failed gearbox or as a preventive measure against a recurring fault on this model.

Under the exchange scheme, the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched first, before the old unit is collected, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is never off the road. The old gearbox, which must be kept intact, is only collected after the new unit has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
