Reconditioned Opel Zafira 1.9 CDTi Gearbox – Reference GETRAG-H4

This reconditioned gearbox for the Opel Zafira 1.9 CDTi, engine capacity 1910 cm³, reference GETRAG-H4, is compatible with engine codes Z19DTL, Z19DT and Z19DTH. It replaces a well-worn 6-speed manual gearbox without requiring any work on the vehicle's other components.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

There are several warning signs that Zafira 1.9 CDTi owners should look out for: stiff or grinding gear changes, crunching when downshifting, occasional refusal to engage second or fifth gear, juddering under acceleration, vibrations felt through the gear lever, or the gearbox slipping into neutral for no apparent reason whilst driving. A continuous metallic noise, even with the engine idling at a standstill, is also a strong indicator of internal wear on this GETRAG-H4 gearbox.

Exchange gearbox: rebuilt to 0 km

This GETRAG-H4 gearbox is fully reconditioned: it is completely stripped down, every component is cleaned and inspected, the gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced, and the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Under the exchange scheme, the old unit is not collected before delivery: the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched first so that the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is not off the road for longer than necessary. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and payment

This gearbox comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
