This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox fits the Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TDI, a 1968 cm³ diesel engine, and corresponds to reference UAW. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down, thorough cleaning and a detailed inspection of every component; any gears, synchros, bearings and seals showing signs of wear are replaced, before the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and given a final bench test.
This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: it is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit for the customer to reuse. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included and reconditioned with the gearbox, reference UAW.
