Reconditioned Kia Sportage 1.7 CRDi Gearbox

Q: How can I be sure it is compatible with my Kia?

Compatibility depends on the engine / gearbox code, not just the model. The most reliable way is your number plate or registration document: our advisers confirm the right gearbox for your vehicle before you order.

Q: Do I need to send back my old unit?

Yes, that is the principle of an exchange unit: you return your old gearbox (the core), which we recondition in turn. We arrange transport both ways, so you don't have to handle any logistics.

3 reconditioned references on an exchange basis, from €1658 to €1745 — up to 24 months' warranty, delivery across France & Europe.

On the Sportage 1.7 CRDi, the 6-speed manual gearbox often deteriorates before 200 000 km on engine codes D4FD and D4FDL

The 1.7 CRDi (2010–2018) is well known for gear changes that gradually stiffen, accompanied by bearing noise in gear and sometimes gear jumping under load. These symptoms point to internal wear in the 6-speed manual gearbox that is characteristic of this generation, made worse by heavy use or irregular gearbox oil changes.

Two engine codes exist within this range: D4FD and D4FDL. The associated gearbox is a 6-speed manual in both cases, but checking the code stamped on the block before placing any order avoids a reference error, as the mechanical interfaces can differ depending on the model year.
