Signs of a worn turbo on the Citroën Jumper 2.3 BlueHDi 140
On the Jumper van fitted with the 2.3 BlueHDi 140, a turbo nearing the end of its life often makes itself known through a noticeable loss of power under load, an engine that struggles to rev when the vehicle is laden or towing, an engine warning light on the dashboard, an unusual whistling noise on acceleration, or abnormal exhaust smoke (blue smoke indicating oil consumption, or black smoke indicating over-boost). Hesitant cold starts, juddering or the vehicle entering limp mode are also warning signs that should alert the driver or the professional responsible for servicing the van.
About this new turbo for this model
This new turbo is designed to restore the full responsiveness and power that the Citroën Jumper 2.3 BlueHDi 140 needs for commercial use, whether for goods transport, van conversion or trailer towing. It is compatible with reference 877674-5004S and allows a faulty turbo to be replaced without any compromise on the reliability of the engine.
Compatibility with the 2.3 BlueHDi 140 engine
This new turbo is compatible with the 2.3 BlueHDi / MultiJet 140 hp engine fitted to the Citroën Jumper. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference shown on the identification plate of the old turbo once removed, to ensure a perfect match with your vehicle.
Exchange basis and warranty
This part is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so that the commercial vehicle is not left off the road. The new turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Fitting and maintenance advice
Premature turbo failure on a Jumper van is frequently linked to insufficient lubrication, engine oil of unsuitable quality or where oil changes have been neglected, a clogged air filter, or a leak at the intercooler. Before fitting the new turbo, the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake should all be carefully checked. When starting the engine for the first time, priming the turbo with oil is essential to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the very first start.
