The new turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, provided fitting is carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Fitting advice for your Série 1 turbo
Before installing the new turbo on your 116d or 118d, carefully check the condition of the oil circuit, the cleanliness of the feed and return hoses, and that there are no blockages on the air intake or intercooler. On these N47 engines, the most common causes of turbo failure are inadequate lubrication, oil of unsuitable quality, or oil that has not been changed at the recommended intervals, as well as a clogged air filter. Driving too hard from a cold start, without allowing the engine to warm up gradually, also accelerates wear. When running in the new turbo, make sure to prime it with oil before the first start-up to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings and extend the service life of the part.
