This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of your old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Série 3 is not left off the road unnecessarily. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment for your order can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Fitting advice for the N47D20C engine
On this engine, the majority of turbo failures stem from inadequate lubrication: incorrect oil grade, missed service intervals or a clogged oil filter. A clean air filter and a sealed intake system also help prevent premature wear of the compressor. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the feed and return hoses, as well as the air intake and intercooler, to rule out any residual contamination. When starting the engine for the first time, it is recommended to prime the new turbo with oil to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the moment the engine fires.
