This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your BMW Série 4 is never left off the road. The new turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment for your order can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Fitting and maintenance advice for the B48B20
On the B48B20 engine, premature turbo failure is most commonly caused by a lubrication fault — typically poor-quality engine oil, missed oil changes, or a clogged air filter allowing contaminants to reach the compressor wheel. A cracked intercooler or a poorly secured hose can also cause a loss of boost pressure that is harmful to the turbo's operation.
