Not sure you've found the right part?
A new turbo designed for the BMW 5 Series
The BMW 5 Series is a versatile saloon and estate, frequently used for long road and motorway journeys, sometimes under sustained load (luggage, occasional towing). This type of use places considerable strain on the turbocharger, particularly during prolonged high-rev acceleration and repeated pressure build-ups. On the 2.0i petrol engines fitted to this model, a worn or poorly lubricated turbo can quickly lose performance and cause engine faults.
Compatibility of the new turbo with the 5 Series
This new turbo is compatible with reference 49477-02104, intended for BMW 5 Series (F10, F11, F18) fitted with the 528i 245 hp and 520i 184 hp engines, with engine codes N20B20A, N20B20B and N26B20A, in 1997 cm3 petrol. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference printed on the old turbo to confirm exact compatibility with your vehicle.
Warranty and delivery of the BMW 5 Series turbo
This new turbo is sold as a straightforward purchase: no unit needs to be returned, and there is no collection or return of the old turbo. A single delivery is made, directly to you. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Advice before fitting on a 5 Series
Before installing this new turbo, check the condition of the oil circuit, the cleanliness of the hoses, and that there are no air intake leaks, as insufficient or contaminated oil supply is one of the main causes of premature turbo failure. Also check the air filter and intercooler, which must be in good condition to ensure a proper air supply to the N20/N26 engine. At start-up, prime the oil supply before the first start, and drive gently during the first few kilometres to protect the new part.
