This new turbo is compatible with reference 708639-5011S, a technical base found under numerous manufacturer and supplier part numbers depending on the production batch.
Compatible engines on the Laguna
On the Renault Laguna, this turbo fits the 1.9 dCi diesel engines producing, depending on the version, 92, 110, 116, 120 or 125 hp, with an engine capacity of 1870 cm³. The engines concerned include engine codes D 4192 T3 and the wide F9Q family (F9Q 650, F9Q 664, F9Q 670, F9Q 674, F9Q 680, F9Q 750, F9Q 758, F9Q 759, F9Q 800, F9Q 803, F9Q 804, F9Q 808, F9Q 812, F9Q 816). Exchange and warranty for this Laguna turbo
This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of your old turbo is required in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Laguna is never left off the road. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, provided fitting is carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Advice before and after fitting the turbo
On a 1.9 dCi engine, turbo failure is most commonly caused by a lack of lubrication due to degraded oil, missed oil changes, or a clogged air filter allowing contaminants through. Also check the condition of the intercooler, air intake hoses and oil circuit before fitting the new turbo, as a leak or cracked hose can compromise its performance. Aggressive driving — particularly revving the engine hard immediately after a cold start — also accelerates turbocharger wear. When starting up for the first time, make sure to prime the oil circuit before the initial engine start, to avoid the new turbo's bearings running dry.
