Not sure you've found the right part?
Why does the Land Cruiser 2.5 D-4D turbo fail?
On the Toyota Land Cruiser fitted with the 2KD-FTV engine, the turbocharger is put under particular strain during off-road use, when carrying heavy loads, or during prolonged towing. Insufficient lubrication, degraded engine oil, or an overdue oil change interval leads to premature wear of the bearings and central shaft. A clogged air filter or a cracked intercooler also disrupts air intake, causing the turbo to overheat. Aggressive rev increases immediately after a cold start, without any warm-up period, further accelerates mechanical fatigue of the unit.
Compatibility of this new turbo for the Land Cruiser
This new turbo is compatible with reference 9B003, intended for the Toyota Land Cruiser fitted with the 2.5 D-4D engine, corresponding to engine code 2KD-FTV. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the exact reference printed on your vehicle's old turbo, as certain variants may coexist depending on the model version.

Advice before and after fitting
Before fitting the new turbo, inspect the oil circuit (feed and return lines), check the condition of the intake hoses, and ensure the air intake and intercooler are clean. Always replace the oil filter and use an oil that meets the manufacturer's specifications. When starting up, prime the oil circuit before starting the engine, then let it idle for a few moments to allow full lubrication before placing it under any load.
