The return only takes place after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so the New Beetle is not left off the road during the process. A 12-month parts warranty applies, provided fitting is carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.
Fitting and maintenance advice for the 1.8 TSI
Before fitting the new turbo, it is essential to check the oil circuit (pressure and cleanliness), the condition of the lubrication hoses and the air intake, in order to eliminate any residue that could cause further damage. Pre-lubricating the turbo with oil before the first start is recommended to ensure immediate bearing lubrication.
