Not sure you've found the right part?
The new turbo built for the Volvo XC60 2.0 D3
The Volvo XC60 is an SUV frequently used for long journeys on A-roads and motorways, often carrying a heavy load — family, luggage, or a trailer. This kind of use puts the turbocharger under considerable strain: it must deliver constant boost at high revs while withstanding repeated heat cycles. On the 2.0 D3, a worn turbo quickly shows itself through a loss of power on acceleration and a less responsive drive, which makes replacement with a new turbo the right call rather than a simple repair.
Compatibility with the XC60 engine
This new turbo is compatible with reference 795680-5003S, fitted to the Volvo XC60 equipped with the 2.0 D3 diesel engine, with an engine capacity of 1984 cm³, corresponding to engine codes D5204T2, D5204T3 and D5204T7. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the exact reference stamped on the data plate of the old turbo, as certain power variants may share a closely related mechanical base.
Exchange basis and warranty on this XC60 turbo
This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your vehicle is not left off the road. The part is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Advice before fitting on a XC60 2.0 D3
On this diesel engine, premature turbo failure is often caused by insufficient lubrication, poor-quality engine oil or missed oil changes, as well as a clogged air filter or a cracked intercooler allowing contaminants through. Before installing the new turbo, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake. When starting the engine for the first time, the turbo must be primed with oil to ensure immediate lubrication from the moment of start-up and to protect its longevity.
- Check the reference on the old turbo before ordering
- Inspect the oil circuit and hoses
- Clean or replace the air filter if necessary
- Prime the turbo with oil before starting
- Follow the recommended oil-change intervals after fitting
