Reconditioned gearbox for Audi A5 2.0 TDI – reference MVS

This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Audi A5 fitted with the 2.0 TDI engine (1968 cm³) and corresponds to reference MVS. The reconditioning process involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of all internal wear parts — including gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch, under reference MVS.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

On this 6-speed manual gearbox, several symptoms should raise concern: increasingly stiff gear changes, a crunching noise when downshifting into second or third, noticeable resistance when engaging reverse, juddering felt through the clutch during gear changes, or a persistent low rumble in neutral that disappears when the clutch pedal is pressed.

Exchange basis: your vehicle is never off the road for long

This reconditioned gearbox is supplied on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched to your workshop first, so fitting can begin straight away. The old gearbox — with its casing intact — is only collected after the MVS unit has been delivered and fitted, ensuring your vehicle is never left standing. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

This MVS gearbox is compatible with engines identified by codes CAGA, CAHA, CGLC, CJCA and CMFA, fitted to the Audi A5 2.0 TDI.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment for your order can be spread over multiple instalments — pay in up to 10 instalments.

EDEN BOITES supports you every step of the way, from your initial quote through to collection of the old unit.
