Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

On this engine, internal wear often shows itself before the gearbox fails completely. Watch out for the following warning signs:

Reconditioning of the GM-5E Gearbox

Every gearbox reconditioned under reference GM-5E is fully stripped down, then cleaned and inspected component by component. Gears, synchromesh rings, bearings and seals are replaced according to the wear found. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before being approved for dispatch. This process aims to restore gearbox behaviour close to that of a new unit, with smooth and quiet gear changes.

Exchange Basis: No Downtime for Your Garage

This gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, before the old unit is collected. The garage is therefore never left without a part, and the vehicle is not off the road during the process. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the GM-5E has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
