This reconditioned gearbox is designed for Opel Combo models fitted with the 1.6 CDTi diesel engine (1598 cm³), covering engine codes A16FDL and A16FDH. Reference 5700441 is a 6-speed manual gearbox, fully rebuilt to meet the manufacturer's original specifications.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

On a Combo fitted with this 6-speed manual gearbox, several warning signs can appear before a complete failure:

• Stiff, notchy or grinding gear changes, particularly on second or third gear
• Crunching or metallic noises when changing gear
• A gear jumping out or refusing to stay engaged under load, especially on hills

Exchange basis and return of the old unit

This reconditioned gearbox undergoes a thorough process: complete strip-down, cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of gears, synchros, bearings and seals as required, followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and bench testing before dispatch.

Under the exchange scheme, the reconditioned gearbox (reference 5700441) is dispatched first, before the old unit is collected, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is off the road for as short a time as possible. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the EDEN BOITES unit has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and payment
