This reconditioned gearbox is designed for Opel Corsa models fitted with the 1.5 CDTi engine (engine code D15DT, 1499 cm³), for reference 20V257. A 6-speed manual unit, it is fully restored to its original specifications following a complete workshop reconditioning process.
Signs that your gearbox needs replacing
On a Corsa 1.5 CDTi, several warning signs point to a worn manual gearbox: difficult or crunching gear changes, juddering on downshifts, vibrations felt through the gear lever, cracking noises in third or fifth gear, or the gearbox jumping out of gear once engaged. A low, continuous droning noise whilst driving that varies depending on the gear selected should also raise the alarm.

Internal wear components – including gears, synchros, bearings and seals – are replaced according to their condition. Exchange basis: your vehicle is never off the road for long
This reconditioned gearbox is supplied on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, without waiting for the old one to be returned. The old gearbox – casing and block intact – is only collected after the 20V257 has been delivered and fitted, so the vehicle is kept off the road for as short a time as possible. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
