Reconditioned Renault Master 2.5 dCi Gearbox – Reference PF1017

This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Renault Master fitted with the 2.5 dCi engine (2463 cm³), compatible with engine codes G9U 720, G9U 724, G9U 750 and G9U 754, under reference PF1017. It replaces a worn gearbox that has been subjected to high mileage and the repeated demands of a heavily loaded light commercial vehicle.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

Several warning signs point to gearbox wear: difficult or noisy gear changes, crunching on downshifts, vibrations felt through the gear lever, oil leaks at the casing, or a neutral that slips away on the Master during loaded runs. On a workhorse like the Master 2.5 dCi, these symptoms should not be ignored — doing so risks leaving the vehicle off the road.

Gearbox Reconditioning

Every gearbox referenced PF1017 is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected component by component. Gears, synchromesh rings, bearings and seals are replaced according to their condition. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch, ensuring performance that meets original factory requirements.

Exchange Basis – Delivered Before the Old Unit Is Returned

This gearbox is supplied on an exchange basis: it is rebuilt to 0 km and dispatched without waiting for the old unit to be collected first. The garage is therefore never left without a gearbox, and the vehicle is off the road for as short a time as possible. The old gearbox — casing intact — is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This gearbox is sold without the Quickshift robot unit: this component is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer.

Warranty and Payment

This gearbox is sold with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, up to 10.
