Reconditioned DSG 7 Gearbox for Seat Leon 1.6 TDI – Reference QRK
This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox is designed for the Seat Leon fitted with the 1.6 TDI engine of 1598 cm³, associated with engine codes CAYC and CLHA, and corresponds to reference QRK. This dual-clutch gearbox is fitted to a large proportion of Seat Leon diesel vehicles and is a sensitive component, put under considerable strain during automatic gear changes. The reconditioning follows a comprehensive process: the gearbox is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected; internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced according to their condition; the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.
This QRK gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and it remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is supplied new with this QRK reference gearbox.
Signs That This DSG 7 Gearbox Needs Replacing
On the Seat Leon 1.6 TDI, several warning signs point to a worn DSG 7 gearbox: juddering or jerking during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, the automatic gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, limp mode limiting available power, a metallic noise at idle, abnormally slow gear engagement, or even complete lock-up in the park position. These symptoms indicate advanced internal wear and justify replacement before a complete failure occurs, which is far more costly to address.
Exchange Basis – No Vehicle Downtime
This gearbox, rebuilt to 0 km, is sold on an exchange basis: the old unit is not collected before delivery. The reconditioned QRK gearbox is dispatched to the garage first, avoiding any vehicle downtime and allowing the mechanic to work without delay; the old gearbox, with its casing or block intact, is only collected after delivery and fitting of the reconditioned unit. Its return is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
Compatibility
This QRK reference is compatible with Seat Leon 1.6 TDI engines bearing engine codes CAYC and CLHA, two diesel units widely used on this model.
Warranty and Payment
This gearbox is sold with a 24-month parts warranty, applicable subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment for this reconditioned gearbox can be spread over several instalments – pay in up to 10 instalments – to make purchasing this QRK reference more manageable.
EDEN BOITES supports you from quote through to collection of the old unit.
