This reconditioned gearbox fits the Skoda Karoq powered by the 1.6 TDI engine of 1598 cm³, associated with engine code DGTE. It is a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox, identified under reference TSN, widely used on this model. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down, cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of internal wear parts such as gears, synchromesh rings, bearings and seals, before reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and bench testing.

Signs that your 7-speed DSG gearbox needs replacing

Several symptoms can indicate a problem with the Karoq's 7-speed DSG gearbox: juddering or jerking during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, juddering on cold starts, the automatic gearbox warning light illuminating on the dashboard, unusual noises in position D or in reverse, or the gearbox going into limp mode, which limits the power transmitted.

Exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, the old unit is collected afterwards

Under the exchange scheme, the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched first, without waiting for the old unit to be returned. The garage is therefore never left without a part and the vehicle is off the road for as short a time as possible. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted; return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and payment

This gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this electronic module is neither reconditioned nor tested and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused during fitting. The dual-clutch, however, is supplied new with the gearbox.
