This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Volkswagen Crafter fitted with the 2.0 TDI engine (1968 cm³), compatible with engine codes CKTB, CKTC and CSLB, under reference MWA. It is a 6-speed manual gearbox, built to go straight back into service on a van that faces heavy daily use and significant loads.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

On a Crafter used daily for goods transport, certain warning signs are hard to ignore:

• stiff or crunching gear changes, particularly when cold
• a gear jumping out or refusing to stay engaged, especially under load
• grinding or whining noises in 2nd or 5th gear
• difficulty finding neutral, with unusual resistance from the gear lever

Exchange basis: a gearbox rebuilt to 0 km

The reconditioned gearbox is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected component by component. Gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced as required, then the unit is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances before bench testing confirms it is functioning correctly.

Under this exchange arrangement, the reconditioned gearbox reference MWA is dispatched before your old gearbox is collected. The garage is therefore never left without a part, and the vehicle is not kept off the road any longer than necessary. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned gearbox has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

This reconditioned gearbox is compatible with engine codes CKTB, CKTC and CSLB fitted to the Volkswagen Crafter 2.0 TDI. Before ordering, we recommend checking the engine code shown on the vehicle's registration document or on the engine block itself.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
