Reconditioning involves a full strip-down, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of any worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals, followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and bench testing.

Signs that this DSG 7 gearbox needs replacing

Exchange basis: delivery before return of the old unit

This reconditioned gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is delivered first, before the old unit is collected. The original gearbox is only collected once the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is never off the road unnecessarily. Return of the old gearbox is nonetheless required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: it is not supplied or included in the sale, is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included and forms an integral part of the reconditioning of this reference LKL gearbox.
