Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of gears, synchros, bearings and seals as required by wear found, followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and a bench test.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is neither supplied nor included in the sale, nor reconditioned or tested; it remains the vehicle's original unit and must be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is supplied new with this gearbox.
