This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Volkswagen Passat fitted with the 1.9 TDI engine (1896 cm³), reference KBM. This 5-speed manual gearbox is fully reconditioned before being returned to service: it is completely stripped down, cleaned and inspected part by part; any gears, synchros, bearings and seals showing wear are replaced, and the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Exchange Basis: Delivery Before Return of the Old Unit

This KBM reference gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched first, so the garage is never left without a part and vehicle downtime is avoided. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
