Reconditioned Volkswagen Touran 1.6 FSI Gearbox – Reference KVV

This reconditioned gearbox for the Volkswagen Touran 1.6 FSI (1598 cm³), reference KVV, is designed for vehicles fitted with the BAG, BLP and BLF engines. It is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected component by component; gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced according to the wear found, and the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances before a full bench test.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

On a Touran 1.6 FSI, several warning signs indicate that a 6-speed manual gearbox is reaching the end of its life: stiff or jerky gear changes, crunching when downshifting, a gear jumping out whilst driving, unusual noise in neutral, vibrations through the gear lever, or visible oil leaking from the casing. These symptoms call for prompt replacement of the KVV gearbox to avoid more serious damage.

Exchange basis – no downtime

This gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched before the old gearbox is collected, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is not off the road. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted; return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Reference KVV fits Volkswagen Touran 1.6 FSI models equipped with the BAG, BLP or BLF engines, with an engine capacity of 1598 cm³. We recommend checking the engine code on the manufacturer's plate before ordering.

Warranty and payment

This rebuilt gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, up to 10 instalments.
