A new turbo to restore full performance to your Chevrolet Cruze
Behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Cruze fitted with the 2.0 VCDi engine, a turbo in good condition makes itself felt immediately: throttle response becomes crisp again from low revs, the engine reacts without hesitation to the accelerator pedal, and that tell-tale whistling or air-leak noise disappears. Exhaust smoke clears up too, as does the power loss felt under load – on a hill or when overtaking, for example. This new turbo is designed to restore the original driving feel to your Cruze.
Compatibility with the Chevrolet Cruze 2.0 VCDi
This new turbo is compatible with reference 49477-01610, used on the Chevrolet Cruze fitted with the 2.0 VCDi diesel engine, with an engine capacity of 1998 cm³, available in 131 hp and 163 hp outputs, corresponding in particular to engine code Z20D1. Before placing an order, we recommend checking this reference directly on your old turbo (the data plate or number stamped on the housing) to confirm exact compatibility with your vehicle.

Exchange basis and warranty
This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of your old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Cruze is not left off the road unnecessarily. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Tips for a successful installation
On the Cruze's 2.0 VCDi engine, turbo failure is most commonly caused by a lubrication fault linked to poor-quality oil, missed oil changes, or a clogged air filter. Before fitting, carefully inspect the oil circuit, the intake hoses and the air intake for any residual contamination. Remember also to prime the turbo with oil before the first start-up, to ensure the bearings are lubricated immediately from the moment the engine fires.
- Check the condition of the intercooler and associated hoses
- Check oil pressure after installation
- Drive gently for the first few kilometres
