Not sure you've found the right part?
A new turbo designed for the Pajero's off-road demands
The Mitsubishi Pajero is frequently used in demanding conditions: off-road tracks, heavy loads, towing and rough terrain. This kind of use puts considerable strain on the turbocharger, which must deliver stable boost pressure even at low revs and under heavy load. Over time, these repeated conditions can accelerate wear on the bearings and vanes, particularly if the oil circuit is not maintained rigorously. To restore the vehicle's full off-road capability and traction, a new turbo compatible with reference 49177-01501 is available for this model.
Compatibility with Pajero 2.5 TD engines
This new turbo is compatible with the 2.5 TD engines of the Mitsubishi Pajero, fitted with engine codes 4D56 and 4D56T, in Diesel form with an engine capacity of 2477 cm³. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference printed on your old turbo or on the vehicle's manufacturer plate, as several closely related versions may have been fitted to this model depending on the generation and market.

Exchange and warranty for your Pajero
This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Pajero is not left off the road during the work. The purchase is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.
Advice before and after fitting
On a 4D56/4D56T engine used in off-road conditions, several factors can contribute to premature turbo failure: insufficient-quality engine oil or delayed oil changes, an air filter clogged with track dust, or a fouled intercooler reducing the efficiency of intake air cooling. Before fitting the new turbo, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake to avoid any contamination. On first start-up, remember to prime the turbo with oil to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings before the engine builds up revs.
