The most common causes of failure observed on this unit are oil circuit fouling due to infrequent oil changes or the use of non-compliant oil, a blocked air filter disrupting the intake, a leak or loss of seal at the intercooler, and a driving style characterised by sharp acceleration immediately after a cold start or stopping the engine without an idling-down period. These stresses, combined with wear to the variable geometry, gradually weaken the turbo's shaft and bearings.

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, return of the old turbo is required, but it is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Laguna is not left off the road. It comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over up to 10 instalments.
Fitting advice for the G9T engine
Before fitting the new turbo to your Laguna 2.2 dCi 150, check the oil circuit (cleanliness and pressure), the condition of the hoses, and the air intake upstream of the turbo to avoid any contamination. When starting up, prime the turbo with oil before the first engine start and monitor the first few idle revolutions to ensure correct lubrication from the moment it is put back into service.
