A new turbo built for the Subaru Impreza WRX STI
The Subaru Impreza WRX STI is a performance saloon designed for dynamic driving, regularly pushed through high-rev runs, sharp acceleration, and track or twisty-road use. This kind of driving places far greater thermal and mechanical demands on the turbocharger than everyday road use, accelerating wear if maintenance is not kept on top of. To restore full power and throttle response to your Impreza WRX STI, this new turbo is compatible with reference VF39.
Engine compatibility for the Impreza WRX STI
This new turbo is designed to fit the Subaru Impreza WRX STI with the 2.5 petrol engine, covering engine codes EJ20, EJ25 and EJ257 depending on the version. Before placing an order, we recommend checking the reference number printed on your vehicle's existing turbo to confirm exact compatibility with your engine.

Exchange basis and warranty
This turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of the old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Impreza is not left off the road during the process. This new turbo comes with a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional.
Advice before fitting to your Impreza WRX STI
On a performance engine such as the EJ25/EJ257, premature turbo failure is most commonly caused by inadequate lubrication, incorrect or overdue oil, a clogged air filter, or a habit of revving hard from cold. Before fitting the new turbo, always check the condition of the oil circuit, the cleanliness of the hoses, and that there are no leaks at the air intake or intercooler. On first start-up, make sure the turbo is properly primed with oil before running the engine, to ensure immediate bearing lubrication and extend the service life of the unit.
Payment to suit your budget
To make purchasing this new VF39-compatible turbo more manageable, you can pay in up to 10 instalments.
