Diagnosis before replacing the turbo on the Classe C 43 AMG
Before ordering a turbo for a Mercedes Classe C 43 AMG, a thorough diagnosis is essential. On this vehicle, fitted with a V6 biturbo engine, asymmetric power loss, a whistling noise under acceleration, exhaust smoke or an illuminated engine warning light may point to wear on one of the two turbochargers rather than an electronic or fuel-injection fault. A diagnostic scan, a boost pressure check and a visual inspection of shaft play and oil traces in the hoses will confirm whether the left-hand turbo is indeed the cause before any replacement is carried out.
Compatibility of the turbo with the Classe C 43 AMG
This new turbo is compatible with reference 9V120, intended for the petrol V6 biturbo engine of the Mercedes Classe C 43 AMG, identified by engine codes M276 and 276.823. This turbocharger fits the left-hand side of the M276 3.0L V6 engine. Before placing an order, it is strongly recommended that you check the reference printed on the old turbo removed from the vehicle, as several turbocharger variants exist depending on the side (left or right) and the engine revision.

Fitting and maintenance advice for the V6 biturbo
On a biturbo engine such as that of the Classe C 43 AMG, lubrication is a critical factor: using the correct grade of quality oil and adhering to service intervals will limit premature wear of the turbo bearings. The air filter and intercooler should be checked to prevent any ingestion of particles or loss of seal on the intake side. Before fitting, the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the cleanliness of the air intake should all be verified. On first start-up, the turbo must be primed with oil to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings and to protect the service life of the part.
