Restore the full power of your Mitsubishi L200 2.5 TD

Behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi L200 fitted with the 2.5 TD engine, a turbo in good condition makes itself felt immediately: throttle response becomes crisp again, the engine no longer runs out of breath under load or on rough terrain, exhaust smoke disappears and fuel consumption returns to normal. When the turbocharger starts to fail, the pick-up loses its sharpness – especially when loaded or climbing – and whistling noises or an engine warning light may appear. This new turbo is offered to restore your L200's original towing and driving capability.

Compatibility with the Mitsubishi L200 2.5 TD

Original-specification turbo for the MITSUBISHI Pajero 1 2.5 TD 84 hp (62 kW), sold on an exchange basis (main reference 49177-01503) at trade price. On the Mitsubishi L200, this turbo is fitted to the 2.5 TD engine, paired with the 4D56 unit (also referenced as 4D56T depending on the version), with a displacement of 2477 cm3 in Diesel. Before placing an order, we strongly recommend checking the reference printed on the data plate of your old turbo, as several very similar variants were fitted to the L200 and related models in the same mechanical family.

Exchange basis and warranty for your L200

This new turbo is sold on an exchange basis: return of your old turbo is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted, so your Mitsubishi L200 is not left off the road during the process. The part carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.

Advice before and during fitting

On the 4D56 engine, the majority of turbo failures stem from insufficient lubrication caused by unsuitable oil quality, missed oil changes or a clogged oil filter. A blocked air filter or a leaking intercooler will also accelerate premature wear of the turbocharger. Before fitting, check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and that there are no air leaks on the intake side. Then prime the turbo with oil before the first start-up, and drive gently for the first few kilometres to protect the new part.
