It is only collected after the new turbo has been delivered and fitted to your Passat, so that the vehicle is off the road for as short a time as possible. The turbo carries a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
Fitting advice for a Passat 1.9 TDI
Premature turbo failure on this type of diesel engine is often caused by insufficient lubrication, poor-quality engine oil, oil that has not been changed on time, or a clogged air filter. Before fitting, it is essential to check the oil circuit, the condition of the hoses and the air intake, as well as the intercooler, to avoid any contamination of the new turbo. When starting the engine for the first time, priming the turbo with oil is essential to ensure immediate lubrication of the bearings from the very first start of the Passat's engine.
