Signs that your S tronic 7 gearbox needs replacing

Several warning signs indicate that this dual-clutch gearbox is reaching the end of its life: pronounced juddering during gear changes, a gearbox warning light on the dashboard, shuddering or slipping felt under acceleration, unusual noise at idle or in park, or the vehicle entering limp mode and limiting available power. Difficulty engaging gears when cold that eases once the gearbox warms up is also a tell-tale sign of advanced internal wear.

This KHP gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this electronic component is neither supplied nor included in the sale – it is neither reconditioned nor tested and remains your Audi A3's original unit, to be refitted during installation. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included with this reconditioned gearbox.

Under the exchange scheme, your reconditioned gearbox is dispatched to your garage first, without waiting for the old unit to be returned – so your vehicle is never off the road due to a lack of parts. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the new gearbox has been delivered and fitted. Its return is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
