The garage receives the rebuilt gearbox and can fit it straight away, avoiding any unnecessary vehicle downtime. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted: return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Reconditioning involves a complete strip-down of the gearbox, followed by thorough cleaning and careful inspection of every component. Internal wear parts – including gears, synchromesh rings, bearings and seals – are replaced. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit, which is neither reconditioned nor tested and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is supplied new: it is integrated into the reconditioned HFQ gearbox, ready to use from the moment it arrives.
