Reconditioned BMW X1 2.0 18d Gearbox – Ref. GS6-59DG - ADU

This BMW X1 2.0 18d gearbox has been fully reconditioned to restore factory performance, under reference GS6-59DG - ADU. This 6-speed manual gearbox is fitted to the 2.0 Diesel engine of 1995 cm³, engine code B47C20A, on the BMW X1. Reconditioning involves a complete strip-down of the gearbox, followed by thorough cleaning and inspection of every component. Internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals are systematically replaced; the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

Signs that your gearbox needs replacing

On a GS6-59DG - ADU manual gearbox, several warning signs should not be ignored: crunching or grinding when changing gear, gears jumping out or becoming difficult to engage, unusual vibrations through the gear lever, or visible oil leaks beneath the vehicle. Abnormal noise in neutral or increased resistance when selecting second or fifth gear may indicate advanced wear of the synchros or internal bearings.

Exchange basis: your gearbox back on the road without delay

This BMW X1 gearbox is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, so the garage is never left without a gearbox and lengthy vehicle downtime is avoided. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected once the new GS6-59DG - ADU unit has been delivered and fitted. Return of the old unit is nonetheless required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and payment

This gearbox comes with a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
