This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Citroën C2 1.4 HDi fitted with the 8HX or 8HZ engine, with an engine capacity of 1398 cm³, under reference 20CN33. Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of any worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

On this engine variant, several warning signs should not be ignored: pronounced juddering during gear changes, the gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, jerky or delayed gear shifts, unusual noise whilst driving, or the gearbox dropping into limp mode for no apparent reason. These symptoms often point to advanced internal wear requiring gearbox replacement.

This gearbox is sold without the SensoDrive actuator: this component is neither supplied nor included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer.

Exchange Basis: your vehicle is never off the road

With the exchange arrangement, the reconditioned gearbox reference 20CN33 is dispatched first, before the old unit is collected. Your old gearbox, casing or block intact, is only collected after the new gearbox has been delivered and fitted, so the vehicle is never left without a working unit. Return of the old gearbox is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
