This reconditioned gearbox for the Citroën C3 1.4 HDi, compatible with 8HX and 8HZ engines of 1398 cm³, is supplied under reference 20CP54. Used to transmit power from the 1.4 HDi diesel unit, this 5-speed manual gearbox is subject to progressive wear of the synchros and bearings, which makes a full reconditioning far preferable to a simple partial replacement. Reconditioning a gearbox involves a complete strip-down, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of all worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals. The unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.

The old unit is not collected before delivery: the reconditioned gearbox is dispatched to you first, so the garage is never left without a part and the vehicle is not off the road. This arrangement avoids any interruption to service for trade customers, who can schedule the work without waiting for the original unit to be returned first. Once the installation is complete, the old gearbox is collected after delivery. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Compatibility

This 5-speed manual gearbox is compatible with 8HX and 8HZ engines of 1398 cm³, as fitted to the Citroën C3. Reference 20CP54 is specifically designed for this diesel engine and is not suitable for petrol versions of the C3. Please confirm compatibility with your vehicle before ordering.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox carries a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. This cover applies to the part itself and runs from the date of delivery. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
