This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox is available for SEAT Ibiza models fitted with a 1.4 TSI petrol engine of 1390 cm³, corresponding to engine codes CAVE, CTHE and CTJC, under reference MPP. The reconditioning process involves fully stripping the gearbox, cleaning and inspecting every component, then replacing internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals, before reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and bench testing. This MPP gearbox is thus restored to operating tolerances close to those of a new unit.

Signs that this DSG 7 gearbox needs replacing

On a SEAT Ibiza 1.4 TSI fitted with this dual-clutch automatic gearbox, several warning signs indicate advanced wear: pronounced juddering during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, the gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, abnormal shuddering or hesitation between gears, metallic noise whilst driving, the vehicle entering limp mode limiting engine revs, or difficulty selecting D or R. These symptoms warrant prompt diagnosis before the wear spreads to other components.

Exchange basis: your garage is never left without a part

This MPP gearbox is supplied on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, before the old gearbox is collected. The old unit is therefore not taken back prior to delivery; the old gearbox, casing or block intact, is only collected after delivery and fitting of the new gearbox, so the vehicle is never left off the road. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, it remains the vehicle's original unit and must be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is included with this MPP gearbox.

Warranty and payment
