Reconditioned DSG 6 Gearbox for SEAT Leon 2.0 TDI – Reference HJP
This reconditioned DSG 6 gearbox is designed for the SEAT Leon 2.0 TDI, with an engine capacity of 1968 cm³, compatible with engine codes BKD, BMM, BMN and CFHC; the reference HJP precisely identifies this gearbox model. Reconditioning includes a full strip-down, thorough cleaning and detailed inspection of every internal component, followed by replacement of worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals, before reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and bench testing prior to dispatch. Every gearbox is tested before dispatch to ensure performance that meets original factory requirements.
Signs That Your DSG 6 Gearbox Needs Replacing
On a Leon 2.0 TDI fitted with a DSG 6, drivers should watch out for the following warning signs:
- juddering or jerking during gear changes, particularly when pulling away
- automatic gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard
- delayed, jerky or impossible gear changes, especially in reverse
- metallic noises or grinding from the transmission
- limp-home mode engaged automatically by the ECU
Exchange Basis: the Reconditioned Gearbox Is Dispatched First
This DSG 6 gearbox, reference HJP, is sold on an exchange basis: the reconditioned gearbox is delivered first, allowing the garage to carry out the fitting without delay and avoiding any vehicle downtime. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and installed. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is neither reconditioned nor tested — it remains the vehicle's original unit and must be reused by the customer on the new gearbox. The customer must therefore remove the mechatronic unit from their old gearbox and refit it to the reconditioned gearbox before installation. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is supplied new with this gearbox.
Compatibility
This reconditioned DSG 6 gearbox, reference HJP, is compatible with the 2.0 TDI engines of the SEAT Leon associated with engine codes BKD, BMM, BMN and CFHC. Reference HJP fits this generation of Leon with the engine codes listed, ensuring a reliable transmission replacement. We recommend verifying the exact match with your chassis number before placing an order.
Warranty and Payment
This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment for your order can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
EDEN BOITES supports you from quote through to collection of the old unit.
