Reconditioning involves a full strip-down of the gearbox, followed by thorough cleaning and careful inspection of every internal component; wear parts — including gears, synchros, bearings and seals — are then replaced. The gearbox is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch, restoring smooth, quiet gear changes.
