Reconditioned DSG7 Gearbox for Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TDI
This reconditioned DSG7 gearbox is specifically designed for the Volkswagen Golf fitted with the 1.6 TDI engine of 1598 cm³, under reference PML. It is compatible with vehicles equipped with engine codes CAYB, CAYC, CLHA and CRKB, and replaces a faulty gearbox without any compromise on reliability.
Signs That Your DSG7 Gearbox Needs Replacing
Several symptoms should alert the driver of a Golf 1.6 TDI: juddering during gear changes, delayed or jerky gear shifts, the automatic gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, noticeable juddering at low speed in urban traffic, or a loss of power felt during acceleration. An unusual noise from the dual-clutch unit or a sensation of slipping under acceleration are also common indicators of internal wear.
- Juddering or jerking during gear changes
- Automatic gearbox warning light on
- Delayed or harsh gear shifts
- Sensation of slipping under acceleration
A Reconditioned Gearbox Built to a Rigorous Process
This DSG7 gearbox, reference PML, is reconditioned to a comprehensive process: it is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected part by part. Any gears, synchros, bearings and seals showing wear are replaced. The gearbox is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch.
This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and it remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is supplied new with this gearbox.
Exchange Basis: Delivery Without Downtime
This gearbox is offered on an exchange basis. The reconditioned gearbox is delivered first, allowing the garage to carry out the installation without delay. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after delivery and fitting of the new unit, so the vehicle is never left off the road. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
Compatibility
This DSG7 gearbox is compatible with vehicles fitted with engine codes CAYB, CAYC, CLHA and CRKB.
Warranty and Payment
This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
EDEN BOITES supports you from quote through to collection of the old unit.
