This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox is designed for Volkswagen Touran models fitted with the 1.6 TDI engine (1598 cm³), under reference PML, compatible with engine codes CAYB and CAYC. The unit is fully stripped, cleaned and inspected; gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced as required, then the gearbox is reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch, ensuring performance that matches the original specification.

Signs that your DSG gearbox needs replacing

On a Touran fitted with this dual-clutch transmission, several symptoms point to advanced internal wear of the PML gearbox:

• juddering or pronounced jolts during gear changes
• automatic gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard
• difficult or delayed gear engagement, particularly when cold
• clunking noise or vibration felt during acceleration
• limp-home mode activated, limiting engine speed and vehicle speed

Exchange basis: your vehicle stays on the road

This PML gearbox is supplied on an exchange basis: the reconditioned unit is dispatched first, before the old unit is collected. The garage is therefore never without a part, and the Touran is not off the road while waiting for the exchange. The old gearbox, with its casing intact, is only collected after the PML gearbox has been delivered and fitted; return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Exclusion: mechatronic unit not included

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this electronic component is neither reconditioned, tested, nor included in the sale; the vehicle's original mechatronic unit must be reused by the customer on the PML gearbox. The dual-clutch assembly, however, is supplied with this reconditioned gearbox.

Compatibility

This DSG 7 gearbox, reference PML, is compatible with Volkswagen Touran models fitted with CAYB and CAYC engines in 1.6 TDI with a 1598 cm³ capacity.

Warranty and payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over multiple instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
