This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox is designed for the Volkswagen Polo 1.4 TDI, with a 1422 cm³ engine, and carries the reference QJA. Reconditioning involves a complete strip-down of the gearbox, thorough cleaning and inspection of every component, followed by replacement of all internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals; the unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch. This QJA gearbox is compatible with engines identified by the codes AMF, BNM, BMS, BAY, BNV and BWB.

On a Polo fitted with a DSG 7 dual-clutch automatic gearbox, several warning signs point to advanced wear: juddering or jerking during gear changes, slipping felt under acceleration, the gearbox warning light illuminated on the dashboard, the unit going into limp mode and limiting engine revs, abnormal noises at low speed, or unusual vibrations while driving. Exchange Basis: A Reconditioned Gearbox Delivered Without Delay

Under this exchange arrangement, the reconditioned QJA gearbox is dispatched to your workshop first; the old unit is not collected before delivery. The old gearbox – casing or block intact – is only collected after the reconditioned unit has been delivered and fitted, so the garage is never left without a gearbox and the vehicle is not off the road. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Exclusion: The Mechatronic Unit Is Not Supplied

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer. The dual-clutch, however, is supplied new with this DSG 7 gearbox.

Warranty and Payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, valid subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. You can pay for your order in instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
