This reconditioned DSG 7 gearbox for the Volkswagen Polo 1.6 TDI fits CAYB and CAYC engines of 1598 cm³ and carries the reference MPT. The old gearbox — casing and block intact — is only collected after delivery and fitting of the reconditioned unit. Return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

A Full Reconditioning Process

This gearbox is completely stripped down, cleaned and inspected part by part. Worn gears, synchros, bearings and seals are replaced according to the condition found. The unit is then reassembled to manufacturer tolerances and bench-tested before dispatch. The dual-clutch assembly is supplied new with the gearbox.

This gearbox is sold without the mechatronic unit: this component is not supplied or included in the sale, it is neither reconditioned nor tested, and it remains the vehicle's original unit, to be reused by the customer.

Warranty and Payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 12-month parts warranty, subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
