This reconditioned gearbox is designed for the Volkswagen Scirocco fitted with the 2.0 TDI engine of 1968 cm³, corresponding to engine codes CFHB and CBBB; it carries the reference LHD. It is a 6-speed manual gearbox, fully overhauled in our workshop before being returned to service under reference LHD.

Signs That Your Gearbox Needs Replacing

On the Scirocco 2.0 TDI, several warning signs point to advanced wear of the manual gearbox: stiff or uncertain gear changes, crunching on downshifts, juddering in third or fifth gear, vibrations in neutral, or a clutch pedal that no longer eliminates internal grinding noises. A neutral that jumps out on its own or abnormal resistance on the gear lever are also good reasons to have the unit checked without delay.

Exchange Basis – How It Works

This gearbox is reconditioned through a comprehensive process: complete strip-down, cleaning and inspection of every component, replacement of internal wear parts such as gears, synchros, bearings and seals, followed by reassembly to manufacturer tolerances and bench testing before dispatch. The reconditioned gearbox is sent to your workshop first, so your vehicle is never left off the road for longer than necessary. The old unit – whether casing or complete block – is only collected after the reconditioned gearbox has been delivered and fitted; return of the old unit is required, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Warranty and Payment

This reconditioned gearbox is covered by a 24-month parts warranty, valid subject to fitting being carried out by a qualified professional. Payment can be spread over several instalments, in up to 10 instalments.
